Nigerian writer, poet, editor, and graphic artist, Kehinde Badiru is the author of poetry book, “I Know Why Your Mother Cries“. He holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s degree in English & International Studies from Osun State University.
Kehinde’s work has been published widely online and in print. He works as a freelance editor, book/cover designer, content creator, and writing instructor, collaboratively teaching Creative Writing to students through WriteNowLit, a creative writing-centred non-profit he founded in 2017. WriteNowLit now runs a literary journal (see more here). Kehinde enjoys soul, ambient, and smooth jazz music. He is the founder of Lofty Steps Consults, a publishing company which provides full-service publishing services to independent authors and writers.
A member of the jury at the Goge Africa 2020 Short Story contest, Kehinde is considered a forerunner of digital poetry in Nigeria and is noted for his great love of urban radio, and jazz. Currently, Kehinde is completing a collection of short stories.
